Peer Mentors

The College of Education’s peer mentor program provides peer-led guidance and support for incoming students as they navigate life at the University of Georgia and beyond. Peer mentors have the opportunity to:

  • Build lasting relationships with peers in the College
  • Provide guidance and support for incoming and transfer students
  • Help new students adjust to university and campus life
  • Discuss major coursework and programs

Contact Hannah Rogers if you have questions or are interested in being involved with the peer mentor program. Applications for peer mentors take place in Early Spring for the following year, and mentees will be assigned their mentors during orientation.

Peer Mentor Info Sessions

Please attend an info session if you are interested in becoming a Peer Mentor for the upcoming School year. Info sessions will be held in late fall and early spring semesters. Dates will be announced soon!

Apply to be a Peer Mentor

If you’re interested in being a peer mentor for the next school year, please contact Hannah Rogers for more information.

Applications will open in early Spring for the following school year.

Why join the peer mentor program?

I enjoy that I have someone I can talk to about what I want to do.

I like that my mentor is not only someone who can answer my questions, but also likes to hang out as friends.

We met with my other mentee, and we all three talked about what they wanted to register for next semester, talked about where to live next year, and caught up on each other’s lives.
