Sports Medicine and Physical Performance in Ireland
Our study abroad program to Ireland is designed for graduate students in athletic training and strength, conditioning, and fitness, focusing on global issues in sports medicine and performance-based training programs.
Take part in medical observations in clinical facilities and educational tours of training facilities pertaining to Gaelic sports teams in Ireland, such as hurling, football, handball, camogie, and rounders.
This program is offered in association with the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and is available to athletic training or strength, conditioning, and fitness graduate students. The academic program focuses on sports medicine techniques and sports performance programming typically used in Gaelic sports. This clinical program gives you athletic training observation and hands-on experience with GAA teams as well as physician and health care professionals associated with the GAA.
Enrollment is limited to 12 students. All participating students are strong encouraged to have the COVID vaccine prior to departure of the trip.
